Creative Automation / Workflow Engineering

Pynk Systems

Building a connected automation workflow for 3D garment production.

Invent / Flagship case study

Less repetitive work.
More room to create.

I designed and developed a connected suite of tools to move virtual garments through preparation, 3D processing, rigging, texturing, and delivery.

01

The Challenge

Repetitive work between applications slowed production.

3D garment production involves repeated preparation, manual file handling, and multiple application handoffs. Those steps slow delivery and create opportunities for errors, especially when a garment needs another fitting or texture revision.

02

The Solution

Build tools around the complete creative workflow.

I designed and developed an integrated suite connecting garment preparation, 3D processing, rigging, texturing, and virtual-world delivery. The tools automate repeatable tasks while keeping creative decisions and quality review with the artist.

My approach began with the production process: identify repeated work, define what each tool should accomplish, and refine the workflow through debugging, testing, and use.

03

Workflow Overview

Four applications, one production journey.

The suite supports the handoffs across these stages. It is a connected workflow with artist review, rather than a fully unattended production process.

04

Results

Shorter production cycles and simpler revisions.

My previous production time was 2+ weeks per garment. With this workflow, it is approximately 1–2 days, excluding marketing. More repeatable preparation and exports also make it simpler to revisit a garment for changes.

The timing reflects my own production experience, rather than a controlled benchmark across all garment types.

05

My Role

From process analysis to working tools.

I personally led workflow architecture, process analysis, Python scripting, plugin development, debugging, testing, and iterative improvement. I used AI-assisted coding to support implementation while directing the workflow, evaluating behavior, and deciding what needed to change.

Technologies: Python, Blender, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, LSL, and AI-assisted development.

06

Status

A functional beta with continued refinement.

Pynk Systems is a functional beta, actively being refined.

It supports my garment-production workflow today. Further refinement focuses on reliability and the experience of using the tools across production stages.
